For though we live in a place
that's dark and filled with sin,
we're prepared for battle
as each new day begins.
The weapons we use to fight
a world that is unseen
are gifts from God above
given to those redeemed.
These weapons break down the proud.
and keep them from turning away
from God our Lord and Father,
who leads us from going astray.
Lord, thank You for providing us with weapons needed to fight spiritual wars that wage against us - Your gifts of prayer, hope, faith, and Your Word serve as a mighty Sword that has divine powers to demolish strongholds. We are ever grateful for Your weapons, and for giving us strength and encouragement when we are weak...We give thanks in the Name of the One who won the battle and gave us new life. Amen.
