MORNING PRAYER (June 4, 2009)

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works." (Ephesians 2:8 &9, NIV)

It's not by works

that we have done

that earned the gift

from God's sweet Son.

It is by grace

that we've been saved,

and we're no longer

kept enslaved.

Christ took our sins

to set us free.

Each one was nailed

upon a tree.

He gave His life

for you and me.

so we could live

e-tern-al-ly.
