MORNING PRAYER (July 4, 2009)

Thank You, dear God

for our troops overseas.

Bless and protect them

we ask of You, please.

Heavenly Father, our prayers go out to our soldiers who are fighting on foreign soil. Please strengthen them when they grow weary, and take away their heartaches and fears - Stand by them and let them know Your presence. Lord, we ask that an army of angels surround our troops to protect them from the enemy...Keep them safe and bring them home to their families and loved ones.

Lord, please let our soldiers know the deep appreciation we, at home, have for them. Each day their lives are in danger, yet, they unselfishly strive to protect us. Please bless them with peace and comfort them when they are in need.

Our soldiers are brave

and defend us each day.

They fight for our honor

and our rights to pray.

We thank You, dear Father,

for "the home of the brave",

a nation of God,

a home that You gave.

We live under You,

our Heavenly King.

We treasure Your presence

and blessings You bring.
